
Wil Cochrane grew up in Ashland and Talent, Oregon. His father, Andy Cochrane, was a local builder renowned for developing neighborhoods such as Clay Creek Gardens and Park Ridge. His mother, Maggie Cochrane, has been a dedicated real estate agent and investor for 25 years, and his stepmother, Rhonda Cochrane, was a top-performing agent with Gateway Real Estate. Despite this strong family connection to real estate, Wil’s primary focus from a young age was tennis. His passion led him to a four-year scholarship at Portland State University, where he set the school record for most wins at #5 singles and ranks 4th in the school's history in all-time wins. He also achieved notable success as the doubles champion at the PNW Intercollegiates Fall Tournament and the singles runner up at the Gonzaga Fall Classic. Currently, Wil plays tennis locally and volunteers his time mentoring teens who want to play college tennis.
After college, Wil traveled teaching tennis at resorts before moving to Seal Beach CA, where he advanced in the apparel manufacturing industry. working his way up from print floor to production manager he eventually developed a new dye technique which created clothing styles that sold to Urban Outfitters & Journeys. However, when COVID-19 hit, he and his wife decided to return to Portland. During the pandemic, Wil studied for his real estate license after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad. In the fall of 2020, he became a solo agent, selling 17 homes in his first year and becoming one of eXp Realty’s top-producing first-year agents in Oregon.
After two years in Portland, Wil and his wife decided to settle in Talent, Oregon, purchasing a home with an ADU. He joined John L. Scott and a small top producing team of the last 25 years. In 2023 leveraging his experience from previous brokerages, Wil began studying for his principal broker’s license with the goal of founding a new real estate brokerage. His aim is to address some of the frustrations he and his clients have experienced in the industry.
